Task 1
For our first task we are required to choose of of three images:
Robert Adams, 'On Signal Hill', Over looking Long Beach, California', 1983
Roger Fenton 'The Terrace and Park at Harewood House', 1860
Jem Southam, 'seaford Head', 1999
Once we have chosen an imae we create a pastiche. We must imitate the photographic language and research the compositional form, camera setting, lighting conditions, depth of field and scale so the we can recreate the image as accurately as we can.
Task 2
For our second task we must submit a set of three images. The images must all be different and printed aswell as shown on the blog along with our research. They will be based upon our personal conceptual approach to representing the landscape. I can research various areas for this project such as a political topics, the relationship between humans and nature, culture or anything really. I am not quite sure where I wish to take this project yet as I have found it hard to find inspiration but plan to look at different environment photographers and historical/ political subject. Hopefully by doing this I will find some inspiration for my own images.
