Sony Advert:
After looking at focal length in our induction i remembered this Sony advert. I love the advert for its overall childish charm and playful colours. The video is also a great example of focal length. In the captured moment from the video above a few of the balls in the center of the image have been focused on and those closest and furthest away from the camera are out of focus. This has been done to show the movement but also to focus on the detail of the balls so that there are not just out of focus blobs on the screen.
Induction to focal length:
In my induction to focal length me and my partner had to choose three objects to photograph and then choose one to focus on. As is clearly visible in the negative we chose to focus on the wire brush.I now feel that in this composition this was not the best object to focus on and if we were to do this again would have chosen either the image at the back or directly at the front.
